THE SILVER EGGHEADS, for George's...plural. (Someday, I'll read the short form of that novel either extracted for publication in THE MAGAZINE OF FANTASY AND SCIENCE FICTION, or which served as the source for expansion to novel length. Algis Burdrys's brilliant ROGUE MOON [he lived long enough to see it published under his title, THE DEATH MACHINE] was one of those that was cut down for magazine publication thus.)
