Bouchercon 2009

And now something for the ladies!

Did you ever think when you saw what's his name wear this thing that it would catch on.
Someone, I won't say who, reading.

Does anyone find this a turn-on?

(Okay, John Mayer) Good choice, JA.

Anyone else coming to Bouochercon? Is Indianapolis near James Dean's hometown? I'll have to check that out. I know I can hit Amish Country on the way down.

Johnny Depp? I generally don't do Con's, maybe someday. But have a good time.

Great picture of Gordon Harries.

It's months away. I could be dead or worse.

Yes, please bring back Ms. Anderson!

I wish I was going to Bouochercon but probably not this year.

Come on, David. I would really like to meet you. I'll buy you a beer or beverage of your choice.
And thanks for the heads up. Sometimes it posts itself regardless of the date.

I'll be there, in the over-overflow hotel, which is fortunately right across the street.

That is great. I so hope to run into you to thank you in person for this place we all hang out.

I don't find the cut of the cloth to amazing in this overtly exhibitionist society that has developed but e color is just to damn loud.

James Dean's home town is Fairmont which is about 50 miles away from Indianapolis.

My goodness...as if one couldn't find Anderson pictures all over the web. If she's willing to wear the Sasha Cohen Eastern European undies as swimwear-of-sorts, I'm sure the complainers will be soothed (if that's the right verb). She'd look like a blond Vampirella (if it was red). (The one-piece that is.) (I Mean The Swimsuit!)

I was going to BoucherCon, but since there were too many complaints about the beefcake display, how could I get away with sporting my favorite outfit?

Pardon my density (or is it merely volume), but Graham's place we all hang out?

What a coincidence!
I was looking up the word DISGUSTING in my dictionary this morning, and the same picture of the fellow in the bathing suit(?) appeared as an illustration of the meaning of the word.
Please, in the name of all that is opposed to DISGUSTING images in the world, send the fellow's picture--with a click of the mouse--into the deleted world of invisibility!

For goodness' sake...what a bunch of whiners. And I don't recall any complaints about Anderson, at all...

I decided I was teetering on the edge of pornography so I took it down.

Please note . . . I was not whining . . . and I did not suggest that there was anything pornographic about the image . . . and I do recall saying something about the salacious baiting of the hook with the earlier female image but only in the context of ways in which it seemed to guarantee blog traffic . . . but I did insist that the male image and the word DISGUSTING were synonymous. And, my intent through it all was to say it all with humor and not in any way that would suggest Puritanical intolerance (except for an aesthetic intolerance for all things disgusting). :-)

RT-I began to get tired of looking at him myself every time I went to my blog.

I was largely kidding about the whining, if not entirely, and certainly not responding solely to your objection, RT--particularly as, as you note, you at least didn't make the objection solely one about men on display while women on similar display are all to the good (I'd rather see women on display, if anyone, but I'm indifferent to rather than horrified by men shown thus)(perhaps slightly offput when I'm reminded how much exercise I should have already done, much less should be doing).
