Yup, that ain't an original "Danger Ahead"...the narrator alone sounds like a Dan Aykroyd wannabe, much less a Mark VII staffer.

I remember watching Dragnet (The '67-'70 version) for laughs in the 80s. I was into camp classics and Joe Friday fit the bill.

Well, as someone was pointing out at NoirCon 2010, it was both a landmark and more than a bit of a fraud at the same time. Jack Webb had a mixed bag of instincts, to say the least.
